Faculty Workshop: Building a Sustainable World-Teaching Social Entrepreneurship

This is a teaching workshop for USD faculty featuring guest presenter Debbi D. Brock, assistant professor of Business and Entrpreneurship at Anderson University and co-author of The Social Entrepreneurship Teaching Resources Handbook. The intended outcomes for this interactive workshop include:

• Increasing awareness of social entrepreneurship and social innovation
• Developing pedagogy to integrate social entrepreneurship into courses
• Fostering peer learning among USD faculty
• Gaining knowledge about student perspectives
• Learning about multimedia and case resources used regionally and nationally
• Determining effective engagement of the beneficiaries that are served through social entrepreneurship

There will also be a special luncheon presentation featuring Robert Todd Johnson, partner at Jones Day, on his firm’s renewable engery and sustainability practices.

Twenty $100 stipends are available for faculty on a first-to-register basis.
