Building a Sustainable World: Teaching Social Entrepreneurship Effectively

The Center for Peace and Commerce and the Center for Educational Excellence present a teaching workshop for University of San Diego faculty. Stipends in the amount of $100 are available to the first 20 to register.

Presenter is Debbi D. Brock, assistant professor of Business and Entrepreneurship, Anderson University and co-author of the Social Entrepreneurship Teaching Resources Handbook.

Workshop Outcomes

• Increase awareness of social entrepreneurship and social innovation
• Develop course pedagogy to integrate social entrepreneurship into courses
• Foster peer learning among university faculty
• Gain knowledge about student perspectives
• Learn about multimedia and case resources
• Determine effective engagement of the beneficiaries that are served through social entrepreneurship
