USD Announces 16 Finalists for SIC

The SIC, a student social venture competition organized by the USD Center for Peace and Commerce, works with students to generate ideas for innovative ventures that respond to a social or environmental issue of their choice. Social ventures may be for profit, nonprofit or hybrid models with a domestic or international focus. The seed funding may be used to launch or expand social ventures. Read more.

Imagining New Intersections Between Business and Peace

The Center for Peace and Commerce (CPC) is a collaborative effort between the School of Business Administration and the Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies to prepare new generations of change makers.  The CPC encourages students to develop and exercise innovative approaches for making a positive impact on the 4 Ps– people, profit, planet and peace.

The CPC contributes to a new paradigm for business and peacebuilding through teaching, scholarship, and social enterprise development.
