Kristin C. Moran, Ph.D.
Fall 2008 Courses: COMM 130 - Introduction to Media Studies COMM 380 - International Media COMM 480W - Latin Media Office Hours: Mon./Wed.: 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.; Mon./Wed./Fri.: 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.; and by appointment. Kristin Moran joined the department at USD in 1999. She received her M.A. (1997) and Ph.D. (2000) from the University of washington, where she developed her research interest in international communication. Her reseaqrch focuses on Spanish-language media in the United States, Mexico, and Spain with special attention to the global expansion of children's television networks. Her research has appreared in Global Media Journal and The Journal of Borderland Studies. Dr. Moran is USD's representative ro BINACOM, Binational Association of Schools of Communication, where she works to faciltate binational exchange among professors and students. She teaches courses in media theory, children and media, and international media. |
