Dear Graduating Senior,

What an exciting time this must be for you and your family! With just a few short months before USD’s 2018 Commencement Ceremonies, now seems like a good time to check-in with you to make sure everything is going smoothly, and that you are on track to walk across the Jenny Craig Pavilion stage on May 27, 2018.

Petition to Graduate
Your first step is to make sure you have petitioned to graduate? Your graduation petition starts the graduation process. Petitions to Graduate can be found on the MySanDiego Portal.

NEW Commencement Website
Visit the newly redesigned Commencement website. For the next four months, the site will be your first stop for the latest information on the 2018 Commencement Ceremonies.

  • Grad Fest I- March 14 and 15, 2018, 10 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. in front of the Torero Store
  • Senior Meeting- April 10, 2018, 12:15 p.m., Jenny Craig Pavilion
  • Grad Fest II- May 4, 2018, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., UC Forums A-C
  • Baccalaureate Mass- May 26, 2018, 4:00 p.m., Jenny Craig Pavilion
  • Undergraduate Ceremony I - College of Arts and Sciences, Sunday, May 27, 2018, 9:00 a.m., Jenny Craig Pavilion
  • Undergraduate Ceremony II - School of Business and Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering, Sunday, May 27, 2018, 2:00 p.m., Jenny Craig Pavilion

Tickets
Commencement ceremonies take place indoors at the Jenny Craig Pavilion. Tickets are needed to attend the undergraduate Arts and Sciences and undergraduate School of Business and Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering ceremonies. Doors to the Jenny Craig Pavilion open one hour before each ceremony start time. Tickets are not needed to attend any of the other ceremonies and Masses.

  • Graduating seniors, in either undergraduate ceremony, are allotted seven (7) tickets
  • Pick up tickets at GradFest II

If you miss GradFest II, you may claim your allotted tickets at the Jenny Craig Pavilion Ticket Office during regular business hours(Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) starting on Monday, May 7, 2018. If you no longer live in San Diego, you will need to contact the ticket office via email tickets@sandiego.edu to arrange for ticket pick-up. Tickets will NOT be mailed.

Additional information regarding tickets:

  • Tickets are required to attend undergraduate ceremonies
  • Children ages 3 and under, who sit on an adult's lap, do not need a ticket
  • Requests for extra tickets will be denied, students are encouraged to ask their friends and classmates for any unused tickets
  • Lost tickets will not be replaced
  • Guests without tickets may watch a live, closed-circuit broadcast inside the Hahn University Center forum rooms or watch the live stream online
  • Tickets are not for sale nor should they be bought or sold. The University of San Diego does not support or condone the selling of Commencement tickets. Please disregard any advertisement or person who is selling or claims to be selling Commencement tickets. Every Commencement ticket is printed as "Not for Sale."
