Parking and Tram Service
The USD campus is located off Linda Vista Road. Guests may enter campus from the east or west entrance to campus (see map). Parking personnel at each entrance will direct guests to parking areas located in the Mission Parking Structure just inside the east entrance. Parking is also available on the west side of campus in the West Parking Structure. Guests are encouraged to arrive at least one hour before ceremony start-time to avoid traffic congestion. Free USD tram service will shuttle graduates and guests from the Mission and West parking structures to the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
Parking for Disabled Guests
Vehicles displaying a DMV-issued disabled person parking placard or license plate will be directed by parking personnel to park in a reserved area on the third floor of the Mission Parking Structure. If a temporary disabled parking permit is needed, please contact the Office of Parent Relations by May 1 at (619) 260-4808 or email email@example.com.
Please note that guests are not permitted to drop off or pick up passengers in front of the Jenny Craig Pavilion. USD Tram Services will transport disabled and elderly guests from the third floor entrance of the Mission Parking Structure.

Ceremony and Seating
The Jenny Craig Pavilion opens one hour before each Commencement ceremony start-time. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are required for the Undergraduate Commencement ceremonies, but are not needed for the Law School or Graduate Schools Commencement ceremonies.
Guests who are hearing impaired may request special seating from a commencement usher. Disabled guests may request that a companion sit with them. Video screens are located on either side of the pavilion.

Seven (7) tickets are allotted to each student for both the undergraduate College of Arts and Sciences morning ceremony and the undergraduate afternoon School of Business and Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering ceremony. Children who are three years-old or younger do not need a ticket if they sit on an adult's lap.
Tickets are not for sale nor should they be bought or sold. The University of San Diego does not support or condone the selling of Commencement tickets. Please disregard any advertisement or person who is selling or claims to be selling Commencement tickets. Every Commencement ticket is printed as “Not for Sale.”
Students are encouraged to ask their friends and classmates for any unused tickets. Students should start asking their friends and classmates for unused tickets late in the fall or early in the spring semester. This is the only way extra tickets may be obtained! Requests for extra tickets to any department on campus, including the Jenny Craig Pavilion Ticket Office, will be denied.
Guests without tickets may view the ceremony live via closed-circuit telecast in the Hahn University Center forum rooms for both the morning College of Arts and Sciences ceremony and the afternoon School of Business Administration and Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering ceremony, or watch the ceremonies live online at www.sandiego.edu/commencement/live/.
Students must pick up tickets in person at the Jenny Craig Pavilion Ticket Office beginning May 1. Tickets must be picked up by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20.
Graduates who no longer live in the San Diego area should arrange for ticket pick up in advance by contacting the JCP Ticket Office at (619) 260-7550 or email email@example.com.
Do not lose your tickets. Lost tickets will not be replaced! Students who lose their tickets will not be given new tickets for entry into the Jenny Craig Pavilion. Their guests must watch the live, closed circuit broadcast inside the Hahn University Center forum rooms or watch the ceremonies live online. Tickets are not needed to watch a live broadcast.
All ceremonies and the baccalaureate mass will be broadcast live online. A link to the live broadcasts will be on the USD website’s home page on the day of each ceremony and will go live at the start of the ceremony. Replays of the ceremonies will be available for one week from the ceremony’s start date.
USD has partnered with Bartell Hotels, owned by alumnus Richard Bartell ‘75, to offer you special discounted rates. Bartell Hotels donates a portion of the room rate to the university. For more information or to make a reservation, call (800) 345-9995 and ask for the USD rate.
Guests are encouraged to make hotel reservations early. Other accommodation options include a wide selection of hotels and motels in Mission Valley, Old Town and Hotel Circle.
La Gran Terraza restaurant, inside the Hahn University Center, will be open for Sunday brunch (10:00 a.m.- 1:30 p.m.). Advance reservations are recommended and can be made online. For parties of 11 persons or more, please make reservations by calling the restaurant at (619) 849-8205. Tu Mercado, a natural foods grocery store located on the second floor of the Student Life Pavilion, will be open from 7:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m both days.
The City of San Diego has a wide array of dining options fitting every taste. Open Table has two websites: "San Diego Graduation Party Places," which lists 54 San Diego private dining restaurants searchable by event size, cuisine, neighborhood, and price and "San Diego Restaurants," which is Open Table's home page for San Diego.
Orchid leis and roses are available for purchase before each Commencement ceremony. A percentage of all sales supports ongoing university programs. Flowers can be reserved online at www.graduationleis.com and picked up in front of the Jenny Craig Pavilion on the day of the ceremony. Grad Images Photography will be taking photographs of each graduate on stage during the commencement ceremonies. Each graduate will be sent no-obligation proofs of the commencement photographs via email and text after the event. Proofs will also be sent via postal mail. You will have the opportunity to purchase prints after you have seen your proofs. Prior to the ceremony, visit www.gradimages.com/preregistration. Enter your email and up to 6 emails who you would like to share in your accomplishment by allowing them to view and order your photos. The University of San Diego will produce a commemorative DVD of the ceremonies. Ordering information can be found on the "Order Commencement DVD" link underneath "Additional Information" on the commencement website homepage, www.sandiego.edu/commencement. DVDs should arrive by mail 6-8 weeks after commencement. Please email email@example.com if you have questions about your order.
Information about graduation gifts, diploma frames, regalia, announcements, class rings, and alumni merchandise can be found on the USD Torero Store’s website, www.usdtorerostores.com. The USD Torero Store is now located inside the Hahn University Center, and will be open Saturday, May 21 from 7:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 22 from 7:30 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.
