January 2012 Graduates

Congratulations on your recent graduation from USD! As a January graduate, your degree will be posted on your transcript by the second week in February to show proof of completion before May. Diplomas are mailed in mid-to-late February and should arrive within 6-8 weeks. If you have questions about your graduation status or have not yet received your diploma, please contact the One Stop Student Center at (619) 260-2770 or email onestop@sandiego.edu.

Mid-Year Celebration Mass and Reception

A special mid-year Celebration Mass and reception will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in Founders Chapel for undergraduate, graduate and law students who complete their coursework in January 2012. All are invited to attend and celebrate with the graduates. Please RSVP by December 5 and include your total number of guests to University Events and Promotions at usdevents@sandiego.edu or call (619) 260-7889. The Mid-Year Graduates’ Celebration Mass is not a commencement ceremony, so caps and gowns are not worn and diplomas are not presented. A photographer will be at the reception to take individual photos of the graduates. The photography sitting is free-of-charge and caps and gowns will be provided for this purpose.

There is a $25 fee for your cap and gown, which you may keep after graduation. You can also order graduation announcements, class rings and diploma frames and have a photo taken in cap and gown. There is no sitting fee and proofs will be forwarded to you via email. Representatives from many university departments will be on hand to answer questions.
