As part of the University of San Diego's commitment to the well-being of our individual students and the larger USD community, all incoming undergraduate students, and all students joining Greek Life, are required to complete the online MyStudentBody Essentials Course.
This 2 part prevention based educational course examines the three most significant behavioral risks college students face (alcohol, illicit and prescription drugs, and sexual violence) and is strategically required for incoming undergraduate students pre-matriculation to educate students about these significant behavioral risks prior to arriving on campus. Additionally, the required follow-up course (Part 2) reminds students 60 days from their Part 1 completion date of the behavioral risks they may be facing in a University setting and provides tools and strategies for how to minimize these risks. Finally, the MyStudentBody module on sexual violence includes educational information, definitions, and policies and procedures that the University of San Diego is required to provide to students in order to remain compliant with federal laws related to sexual violence (Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”), the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 (“VAWA”), including the Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act (“Campus SaVE Act”)).
IMPORTANT NOTE: A $250 non-compliance fee will be assessed directly to students who do not fully complete both portions of the course within the indicated deadlines. This is a non-negotiable non-compliance fee that will be assessed directly to your Student Account.
