Fall 2012 First Year Student Deadlines & Non-Compliance Fee Information

Access to Part 1 of the MyStudentBody “Essentials” course begins on July 25, 2012
and must be completed by August 19, 2012.

The entire course takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. The course can be completed in one setting or break it up into two or more; be sure you have completed the exam and printed out your completion certificate for your records. Do not email your certificate to USD; however, you can email a copy to yourself for your own records. You will need a minimum score of 80% on each of the Alcohol, Drugs, and Sexual Violence sections to pass Part 1. If you do not score 80% or better in each section, be sure to retake the test until you have a passing score.

Part 2 becomes accessible 60 days from your Part 1 completion date. Mark your calendar for 60 days after you complete Part 1. At that time, you will need to go back to the My Student Body website to complete Part 2.

Part 2 must be completed by October 22, 2012.

A $250 non-compliance fee will be assessed to students who do not fully complete both portions of the course within the deadlines. This is a non-negotiable non-compliance fee that will be assessed to your student account. Be sure to complete both Part 1 and Part 2 of the "Essentials" course to avoid this non-compliance fee and learn about how alcohol and other drugs use and abuse can impact our community.

 

Greek Recruitment - Important Deadlines & Non-Compliance Information (Spring 2013)

In order to be eligible to receive a bid for a Greek Sorority or Fraternity, Part 1 of the MyStudentBody.com “Essentials” course must be completed.
