The University of San Diego Choral Scholars is an auditioned vocal ensemble composed of highly select students of a high academic caliber. The Scholars are in great demand and maintain a repertoire that includes all periods of music as well as significant multi-cultural/non-western literature. The Choral Scholars recently completed a tour of Italy in January where they sang in Milan, Venice, Florence, and Rome, including High Mass at St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican. This January, the Scholars will be touring Eastern Europe, including performances in Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic.

Students selected for the highly coveted Choral Scholar positions are provided with private instruction in voice, advanced choral training, numerous performance opportunities, as well as a substantial scholarship applied towards tuition costs. Choral Scholars serve as soloists and section leaders in the 70 voiced University of San Diego Concert Choir where they provide leadership preparing major works performed with full orchestra.  The University of San Diego provides access to a wide selection of recitals, tours, and other musical productions.  Scholarships are provided for 3 Sopranos, 3 Altos, 3 Tenors, and 3 Basses. In addition, an accompanist and assistant conductor are provided with scholarship funding.
