Job Description

We currently have a temporary 6-month assignment for an enthusiastic individual. The successful candidate will perform small molecule organic synthesis on the milligram to multi-gram scale and conduct literature and lab research to support research efforts. As part of a team, you will evaluate new procedures and techniques to improve scientific approaches.

 

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED

An ideal candidate will have a BS in Chemistry and 2-3 years experience or an MS in Chemistry and 1 year of experience. Must have experience in synthetic organic chemistry and reverse phase HPLC experience. We prefer experience from a biotech, pharmaceutical or drug discovery environment. Candidate should be detail oriented, flexible, and a team player with strong communication skills.

Job Description

Due to an increasing demand for Analytical R&D, we have an opening for an Analytical Chemist in our Chemical Analysis Laboratory. In this position, you will be responsible for working with various R&D engineers and Ink Chemists to help develop new products. You will support both Inkjet and Electrophoto-graphy development. Specifically, you will help us expand our expertise in the analysis of pigments and polymers. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with an excellent staff of Analytical Chemists and work in a lab equipped with the latest in Analytical Instrumentation.

 

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED

Education: PhD in Analytical Chemistry

 

Experience

3 years R&D in Analytical Chemistry lab.

 

Expertise in one or more of these areas:

- Chromatography

- Spectroscopy

- Organic Chemistry

- Polymer Chemistry

- Pigment/Particle Analyses

 

Additional Qualifications:

- Effective written and verbal communicationskills.

- Teamwork, specifically the ability to collaborate with a technical team .

- Ability to train others in technical processes and/or instrument maintenance.

- Effectively use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Exchange
