Adjunct Faculty Welcome and Orientation
Each August, several weeks before the fall semester begins, the CEE organizes and hosts a three hours welcome and orientation dinner for all new and continuing adjunct and part-time USD faculty. Attendees learn about the founding and mission of USD, employee perks and training opportunities, important policies regarding students and faculty, course design and syllabus essentials, as well as what it means to teach a liberal arts education at USD. The orientation also includes a dinner and networking reception where representatives from many campus resource centers and departments make themselves available to meet guests and provide information and guidance regarding the services available to adjunct faculty at USD. Departments represented include Human Resources, Academic Technology Services, Student Wellness, the Center for Student Success, the Center for Community, Awareness and Social Action, the Center for Inclusion and Diversity, the Changemaker HUB, and many, many more.
Archived resources from past Adjunct Faculty Welcome and Orientation's can be found in Center for Educational Excellence Blackboard Organization. Please e-mail (email@example.com) or call us at 619-260-7402 in order to enroll yourself in the organization. All you need is an active USD e-mail address.
