Faces of Spirituality: "The Spirituality of Aging," Dr. James Ewing

Our aging prcoess is essentially a spiritual journey. The natural development of our movement from birth to death is the process of increasing awareness, richness, and attentiveness to our interior life, our spiritual life. Underlying this process is the dynamic letting go in order to gain. Gather to reflect on how the experience of increasing limitations opens the door to an ever deepening and rich interior existence.

"The Mass Media 'Jesuses' and the Christ of the Gospels"
Pastor Jack Lindquist
This workshop will discuss three current questions: 1) How are Jesus and Christianity portrayed in such marketing sensations as the "Left Behind" novels, "The Passion of the Christ" movie, "The Da Vinci Code" novel and movie, and "The Gospel of Judas"? 2) Why do millions of people want one or more of these conflicting portrayals to be the truth? 3) How do these portrayals stand the test when judged by the New Testament Gospels of Mark, Matthew, Luke and John, and why should these Gospels remain the criterion for judging all other "stories of Jesus"?
