University of Third Age registration

THURSDAY, JANUARY 6, 2011 AT 10:06 A.M.
The University of San Diego is offering another in a series of educational, cultural and social enrichment programs for those age 55 and over.
The next session of the University of the Third Age program will run from Monday through Jan. 27. Participants will get an inside look at the Marine Corps, a trip to Mission San Diego, a presentationon whether stress can lead to brain damage. There will be classes on computer use and Tai Chi. A luncheon is included as well. The cost is $150 per person and participants can choose to take part in some or all of the activities offered during the session.
The University of the Third Age was launched in France in 1973 by Prof. Pierre Vellas to offer education and intellectual stimulation for those in the third "age" of life USD's program is part of the global network that grew out of the original.
