Eugenia Constantinou, PhD, Theology and Religious Studies, has been in demand as a speaker during the months of March and April. In Orlando and Melbourne, Fla., and in Toronto, Canada she spoke on the Theotokos in Christian history, theology, iconography and spirituality. In Albuquerque, N.M., and Sacramento and La Jolla, Calif., she spoke on the topic of the Roman and Jewish Trials of Christ and the crucifixion of Christ from a legal, historical, biblical and patristic perspective.

Louis Komjathy, PhD, Theology and Religious Studies, published a book chapter titled “Daoism: From Meat-Avoidance to Compassion-based Vegetarianism” in Call to Compassion (Lantern Books, 2011) and co-authored an article titled “Contemplative Pedagogy: Frequently Asked Questions” in Teaching Theology and Religion. He gave a paper titled “Daoist Meditation: Theory, Method, Application” at Brown University and led a workshop on contemplative pedagogy sponsored by the Wabash Center and the southwest region of the American Academy of Religion. He also established a new website for Contemplative Studies through the University of San Diego.
