| Message | Call for Submissions to the Psychology Department’s Student Research Colloquium Series Deadline for Abstracts: February 19 by 5 p.m. The department of Psychology is continuing the research colloquium series initiated many years ago to offer students currently participating in research or internship projects the opportunity to present their work in an oral format. Presentations may be based on completed projects, ongoing research, internship projects that are related to the field of psychology, and research proposals. SURE students are strongly encouraged to submit their work. The colloquium is designed to be a friendly gathering of psychology faculty and students that will provide feedback to students on their projects. All students, and especially those who to seek admission to graduate programs, are strongly encouraged to participate in the series. Participants will receive a certificate for participation and have their names placed on a plaque at the end of the school year. Presentations will be 20 minutes long and may be in any format the student chooses. The room will be equipped with an overhead projector, slide projector, a computer with PowerPoint, a blackboard (or equivalent), and a VCR. A faculty committee will choose submissions for presentation on the basis of their scientific merit and contribution to the field of psychology.
