Intern with the California State Assembly


The office of Assemblymember Brian W. Jones is now accepting applications for the position of District Office Intern. Our Santee office is currently looking for creative and hard-working high school seniors and college students interested in broadening their knowledge of state and local government.

You will gain firsthand experience with:

  • How a District and Capitol Legislative office operates to represent constituents in the district.
  • Assisting staff with planning and execution of community outreach events and special projects.
  • Other responsibilities include: preparing reports, assisting with community outreach efforts, database and web page maintenance, researching specific issues and compiling information to respond to constituent inquiries, handling incoming mail and data entry, and performing general office duties.

Part-time and full-time internships are available throughout the year. This is a non-paid position.
