Public Health Integration Toolkit Internship:

PCI is a non-profit health and humanitarian aid organization dedicated to preventing disease, improving community health, and promoting sustainable development. Based in San Diego, California, the four-month internship involves research and the creation of tools for an online toolkit focused on integration between sectors of public health.

Under the supervision of PCI’s Senior Vice President for Programs, the intern will be responsible for creating an integrated public health online toolkit. The internship will be in coordination with the CORE Group and USAID’s K4Health Toolkit Initiative ( Dissemination strategies and platforms for broad based diffusion have already been determined. Specific activities include:

  • Research and identify sectors to include in the toolkit
  • Write and create various tools
  • Research and provide information linkages
  • Develop actual tools to be included in the toolkit

SCHEDULE: Minimum commitment: 15-20 hours a week for a minimum of 16 Weeks. Flexible schedule of 15-20 hours per week, some tasks may be able to be performed from home office.

COMPENSATION: Monthly stipend not available, but intern will have opportunities to participate in trainings and conferences. Intern will be given authorship credit based on contribution.
