POLS 494-02: Political Boundaries, Vidya Nadkarni
6 Week Mid-Session (June 25-August 3)
Mondays and Wednesday, with one Friday (June 29th)
9am-12:15pm in SCST 230

This course is designed to explore ethical traditions related to boundaries, the theoretical and empirical aspects of contested borders between countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America. Topics covered are boundary narratives, the causes of border conflicts that often spill over into violence, and the conditions for the creation of zones of peace with cultural interaction and economic exchange in border areas.

Note: Course will be canceled if fewer than six (6) paid students enrolled as of Tuesday, May 29. Limit 35
