Part-time Internship for the USD Office of Public Relations

Message

A part-time internship for USD's Office of Public Relations is available. The candidate would assist in the duties specifically pertaining to Media Relations and Community and Government Relations as well as general Public relations duties. Student will receive general supervision from the directors of Media Relations, Director of Community and Government Relations, and Assistant Vice-President of Public Affairs.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Writes stories for Inside USD(featured on homepage)
  • Maintains PR media and expert phone contact lists
  • Assists in writing press releases to promote USD
  • Draft correspondence to elected officials on legislation effecting USD and/or its students
  • Help maintain content on USD & the Community web site
