AMN Healthcare, the country’s largest healthcare staffing agency is seeking an academic intern to work directly with the vice president of Government and Community Relations. The intern will be provided with hands-on experience in supporting the VP in tracking, assessing, communicating and documenting state and federal legislative and regulatory items that impact the healthcare staffing business. The intern will also assist VP with external relations with associations, community groups and charitable nonprofits.   
  • Review weekly legislation and regulatory items provided by external tracking service and provide summaries as required  
  • Pr Organize and post relevant regulatory and legislative issues on Company’s Intranet Site for internal clients
  • Assist VP in external relations with local and national associations and community groups to maximize benefit of membership
  • Assist VP in community and charitable event planning, charitable giving and in-kind donations
