Truman Scholarship Applications


The Truman Scholarship is one of the most prestigious awards a political science or international relations student can obtain. This $30,000 merit-based grant is awarded to undergraduate students, who wish financial support to attend graduate or professional school in preparation for careers in government, the non-profit sector or elsewhere in public service. 

Students must meet the following criteria: 

  1. be in the upper quarter of their junior class (GPA of 3.7 or above)
  2. be a third-year students, seniors are not eligible
  3. have a record of public and community service
  4. be committed to a career in government or elsewhere in public service
  5. have leadership potential
