Eric Page, Ph.D., Presents Physics Education Research
Eric Page, Ph.D. presented his research on "Student Created Wikis in Introductory Physics" at the American Association of Physics Teachers annual winter meeting in Baltimore, MD on January 20, 2008.
The talk covered the technique and technical issues involved in having small groups of students in an introductory physics course create secure online Wiki's based on course content. With the help of both group members and the course instructor, the students can then later use these Wiki's as online study guides created in their own language. The talk also discussed the possibility of using this technique in the future as an epistemic resource for understanding student learning in introductory physics.
