Democracy in Action at Party Conventions
Inside USD -- With election season in full swing, the Republican and Democratic parties hosted their national conventions this summer in order to officially nominate their choices for President and Vice President of the United States. The Republicans held their convention in Tampa, Fla., from Aug. 27-30 and nominated W. Mitt Romney for president and Paul Ryan for vice president. The Democrats held their convention in Charlotte, N.C., from Sept.4-6 and nominated President Barack Obama and Vice President Joseph Biden.
Several members of the University of San Diego community attended the conventions this summer. Below are thoughts on the experience. (Full Article)
