| Message | San Diego Union Tribune -- Meet Lawrence Hinman, the philosophy professor who co-founded and helped to direct the Center for Ethics in Science and Technology at the University of San Diego. Hinman, 66, was trained in ancient Greek and classical modern German philosophy. But since the 1990s, he’s also been a leading voice on ethical issues in science, ranging from stem cell research to search engines to robotics.
