Imperial Valley Press — BRAWLEY — The small coffee table full of Brawley resident Sophia Carrillo’s academic awards could not illustrate the full scope of her academic accomplishments, at her home here Sunday.

Carrillo — a junior majoring in both political science and sociology with a minor in peace and justice studies at the University of San Diego — was most recently accepted under a prestigious Fulbright United States-United Kingdom exchange award to study at the Fulbright Summer Institute at Roehampton University in London. (Full Story)
