Jamey Power '85 Elected to Serve on USD Board of Trustees

James (Jamey) D. Power IV is a distinguished 1985 alumnus of USD. The recipient of the 2006 Author E. Hughes Career Achievement Award by the College of Arts and Sciences, Power is a familiar figure on the Linda Vista campus. Currently, Jamey is an active member of the University’s Alumni Association Board of Directors where he has been involved with various committees and alumni strategic planning initiatives and served as Chair of Class of 1985 Gift Campaign 25 Year Reunion. In addition, he served as a past member and Vice Chair of California Lutheran University Board of Regents.

                   
As an executive with the family-owned J.D. Power and Associates, Jamey served in various leadership positions including Chairman of J.D. Power Asia Pacific, Regional Director of the Michigan office, and managed the Canadian operations where he established the first office in Toronto in 1996. Jamey launched his career at the advertising agency Foote, Cone and Belding. Later, he fulfilled a dream to work directly for an automobile company when he joined the Chevrolet Motor Division of General Motors Corporation as Geo Marketing Development Manager for the Region covering Southern California, Arizona, southern Nevada and New Mexico.

Jamey, his wife Julie, and their three children, reside in Westlake Village, California.
