Summit Teacher Scores with 'Princess King' Script

Message

NJ.COM-SUMMIT -- How can a princess catch her man when he’s a lowly cook and she’s about to inherit the realm? That’s the premise of Jefferson School teacher Jeff Fluharty’s play, “The Princess King.”

Fluharty said he wanted to write about a princess, as well as the theme of mistaken identity. So he came up with a plot wherein Princess Genevieve disguises herself as a prince, the cook pretends to be Genevieve and her maid takes on the role of cook.

Masquerades, cover-ups and humor make up the plot of this over-the-top production.

A graduate of the University of San Diego, with a Masters of Education from Rutgers University, Fluharty lives with his wife and two children in Berkeley Heights. (Full Story)
