Alumnus Parsons Wins Golden Globe Award
Inside USD -- Jim Parsons’ Hollywood star, growing by leaps and bounds because of his role as nerdy Sheldon Cooper on CBS-TV’s “The Big Bang Theory,” shone bright again on Sunday evening.
Parsons, who earned his first Emmy Award last fall, earned his first Golden Globe award, taking the prize for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series in a Comedy or Musical. He emerged victorious over a field comprised of Steve Carell (“The Office”), Alec Baldwin (“30 Rock”), Matthew Morrison (“Glee”) and Thomas Jane (“Hung”).
