USD Celebrates Black History Month

During the month of February the nation observes African American History or Black History month, celebrating the accomplishments and successes of blacks throughout American history, while acknowledging the inequalities, injustice and struggles they have faced.


At USD Brothers and Sisters United (BSU), formerly the Black Student Union, is taking a leading role in the University's celebration of Black History month by planning and sponsoring a variety of events through the month of February that seek to encourage community involvement while educating the USD community about African American culture.
