| Message | Examination of the role gender plays in our everyday lives at a local, national and global level continues to be relevant. Disciplines such as women’s and gender studies offer students and others an opportunity to explore and study the unique contributions of women and men to society, science, humanities, and the arts and the impact that gender and gender roles play in a variety of social and historical contexts. Women’s and Gender Studies Programs are committed to realizing the equality of women and men in all areas of life so that our relationships, both personal and social, are characterized by the freedom and mutuality, which can only occur among equals. Come join us for what promises to be an evening of thoughtful discussion on the importance of gender in our society and at USD. Scholars and students will discuss their perspective on the role gender plays within their disciplines and throughout our lives.
