The advent of Web 2.0 in 2004 brought online collaboration to new levels. Participatory online forums have defined communities in new ways. Do social networks find a place in college curricula? Educational uses for sharing information via Facebook, Twitter and other networking media are being discovered right here at USD. Come share in this discussion which includes faculty and iTeam member, Cyd Burrows. Topics include:

What courses might best take advantage social networking tools
Why faculty might want to pursue integrating social media with their course content
What support is available to get started?

This tech talk is an opportunity for USD faculty members to gather informally for one hour to learn about a topic on teaching and learning with technology in the classroom and beyond. RSVP appreciated but not required.
