Attention music majors: SeaWorld is holding auditions for electric guitarists. Those cast will perform in the Shamu Show, playing a 60-second excerpt from the “Eruption” electric rock guitar solo by Eddie Van Halen. 

Requirements:

  • Must be familiar with classic rock era and capable of executing a highly technical solo
  • Strong performance skills are required: capable of captivating and holding the attention of 5,500 seat stadium
  • Must be willing to learn show choreography
  • Come to the audition prepared to play a one minute solo. “Eruption” preferred. Musician must bring their own electric guitar and amplifier
  • Age range portrayed: 18-35 years

Pay rate: $25 per hour
