Lecture and performance by guest composer Sidney Marquez Boquiren, Ph.D., assistant professor, Adelphi University

Boquiren has established a highly innovative approach to contemporary sacred music and music in ritual by drawing upon experimental traditions of twentieth century composition, including indeterminacy, performative flexibility, extended instrumental and vocal techniques, and cross-cultural interaction.
