Faculty Recital

Violinist, Alyze Dreiling and pianist, Linda Scott, present a concert with music by British film composer, Howard Blake, featuring his Jazz Dances, Penillion and Violin Sonata. They will be joined by guitarist, Eric Foster, to perform Suite Buenos Aires by Maximo Pujol.

Fourth Annual USD Winter Chamber Music Concert

Franklin Cox, Contemporary Cello Recital

Angelus: Sacred Early Music Concert

The Angelus early music series at the University of San Diego presents Rita Lilly, Soprano (Bay Area), and Bach Collegium San Diego Ruben Valenzuela, Music Director. Featuring  Pierre Joubert-violin, Sally Jackson-bassoon, Marianne Pfau-oboe and recorder, Ruben Valenzuela-harpsichord and organ, Heather Vorwerck-cello, and Daniel Zuluaga-theorbo.  They will be joined by  the USD Choral Scholars (Ed Basilio, Dir.) to perform music by Bach, Telemann, and Vivaldi.  Tickets on sale at the door only. $12 General admission, $10 seniors, USD faculty, staff and alumni; $8 students with ID.

MTAC Concerto Winners Concert

The Greater San Diego Community Orchestra, directed by Dr. Angela Yeung, accompanies winners of the 2012 MTAC Concerto Winners.  Also in the program will be Symphony No. 8 by Ludwig van Beethoven.  Co-sponsored by the Music Department.  Contact Dr. Yeung at ayeung@sandiego.edu for final concerto pieces on the program.  Tickets on sale at the door only.  $12 general admission; $10 seniors and non-USD students, USD faculty, staff and alumni; $5 USD students with ID.

Choral Concert

The University Concert Choir and USD Choral Scholars, under the Direction of Dr. Edwin L. Basilio, will perform their Spring Concert Literature.  Program includes, among other works, Norman Luboff's ʺ13 Paradoxical Pithy Paraphrases For Punaccompanied Pchoir.
