Abstract Representation theory allows mathematicians to take abstract algebraic structures and describe them in terms of something which is well known to mathematicians - linear algebra. Representation theory is not only a powerful tool, but also it can be found throughout mathematics in a variety of areas such as algebra, analysis and number theory. Quivers are directed graphs with vertices and arrows. In this talk, we will discuss explicitly how to put a representation on a quiver. |
