Mars 450 and 510 Geological Oceanography leave Friday, October 16, 2009, around noon and arrive at the Salton Sea in the late afternoon. We will be collecting water samples and camping on the San Andreas Fault. Saturday brings a visit to the mud pots, a geothermally active area as well as other important geological features of the Anza Borrego Desert.
