Anne A. Sturz, PhD, has been a member of the faculty since 1991.  She also currently serves as an associate dean in the College of Arts and Sciences. Sturz offers undergraduate and graduate courses on chemical and physical oceanography and earth systems.  Her research focus is hydrothermal fluid chemical composition and secondary mineral formation at oceanic spreading ridges. She retired from USD in May 2010.
