Message	Sustainability LLC Members! With less than ONE month left living in our community, we want to celebrate our last moments together by having a FREE trip to the San Diego Zoo! We only have 50 spots, so hurry & join us for your last ever Sustainability LLC Fieldtrip! To reserve your spot, email Dr. Del Rio at edelrio@sandiego.edu Trams will pick up at Missions Crossroads on FRIDAY, MAY 11 at 2pm, and return you to campus before 7pm. ***Zoos are somewhat controversial regarding sustainability - they provide important conservation education, but are sometimes caught up in controversy, such as the criticisms of keeping large animals like elephants in captivity. The San Diego Zoo is a leader in trying to provide thoughtful, enriching experiences for the animals, while doing advocacy work for conservation of habitat and educational programs that teach about a wider, interconnected world. Its worth keeping in mind, as well, that the botanical collection at the SD Zoo is much more valuable than the animals. It's a fantastic collection!
