Scholarly and Creative Work
Robin's research has focused on two areas. One is classroom community in online and face-to-face environments and how that community impacts student cognition. The second is educator practice of metacognition and self-regulated learning.
Robin is interested in facilitating future educators growth as writers and thinkers with the hope they will be armed to lead their students in similar pursuits. In addition, she believes a strong foundation in understanding educational research - how to read it and conduct it - is imperative for prospective teachers.
