Affiliation of Latino/a Lay Formation Programs
In 2005 the Center for the Study of Latino/a Catholicism (CSLC) established guidelines and procedures to affiliate theological formation programs for the Latino/a laity.
Affiliation with the CSLC entails the promotion of, and commitment to, a quality theological formation program for the Latino/a laity. The intent of the affiliated programs should be a certificate-level curriculum that offers quality theological education to Latinos/as in the Church.
The CSLC Will Offer the Affiliated Programs or Institutes:
- Access to theological research and resources.
- Consulting, in order to promote the best practices possible for a quality certificate program in theology.
- Occasional teaching.
- Cooperation in qualitative improvement of their pastoral theological initiatives.
The CSLC hopes the affiliated programs or institutes will engage it in pastoral dialogue and reflection that can inform and enhance the CSLC’s own theological research and projects.
