Message

The United States has been home to a rich and diverse Latin American, Latino and Spanish literary community throughout its history. In the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, writers from all over the Americas and Spain (Martí, Cuba; García Lorca, Spain; and Mistral, Chile) spent extended periods of time in the U.S. Others, such as Isabel Allende (Chile), José Kozer (Cuba), and Edmundo Paz-Soldán (Bolivia), settled and made this country their home.

Join the Latin American Studies Program and a diverse group of up-and-coming and established writers and poets currently living in the United States for an afternoon discussion on the creative writing process in Spanish and a bilingual reading of their works.
