Welcome Julia Medina, Assistant Professor of Spanish


Julia Medina joins our faculty this fall as an assistant professor of Spanish. She earned her doctorate at University of California, Davis, specializing in 19th and 20th century Latin American literature and culture, as well as in critical theory and cultural studies. Her current research focuses on the intersection between visual culture, nonfiction, resistance and intellectual representations in Central America.

Professor Medina will teach lower division language courses, as well as advanced courses in Latin American literature, culture and history.
