Scholarly and Creative Work
Professor Staninger created a summer program in Salzburg, Austria, where her students complete their language requirement while experiencing the history and culture of Austria. Mornings are spent in the classroom, while afternoons are devoted to excursions and homework.
Professor Staninger’s research includes language acquisition, 19th century literature, and 20th century poetry, particularly the poetry of German surrealist, Paul Celan.
Teaching Interests
Professor Staninger has taught lower and upper division courses for the German section. She created an immersion program in Salzburg, Austria where each summer a group of students complete their language requirement while experiencing the history and culture of Austria.
