Raison d'Etre du club

Le Club français est ouvert aux étudiants de USD qui s'intéressent à la langue et à la culture française. Il n'est pas nécessaire de savoir parler français pour participer aux activités du club qui sont ouvertes aux membres et à leurs amis. L'inscription au club est gratuite, mais certaines activités peuvent demander une modeste participation aux frais (cinéma, musée, restaurant...).

Pour vous inscrire à la liste de diffusion qui vous mettra au courant des activités, envoyez un message.

The French Club is open to all USD students who are interested in the French language and culture. It is not necessary to be fluent in French in order to participate in the club's activities which are open to our members and their friends. Enrollment in the club is free, but some of its activities may require a modest participation fee (movies, museums, restaurants, etc.).

Thursday March 18 Lunch with French businessman Gérald Gaucher. Learn "Les différences" between the French and American business worlds and how to work in the French business sphere. More information TBA. Express your interest by sending an email

French film series: March 3rd, 24th and April 14th in Camino 119 at 7 pm and Thursday May 6th at 7pm in SH 212 (Je vous trouve très beau)

At the Hillcrest Cinema (until April 1st), do not miss A Prophet, by Jacques Audiard, nominated for best foreign film in 2010. If interested, ask for free ticket.

April 9th, 7pm, at the Repertory Theater in Horton Plaza: A week-end with Picasso. For more information, email us.

Satuday April 17th French picnic and games (POSTPONED - check back soon for new date)

Saturday April 24th, 6pm. Presentation (in French) "Travel logs: French Women travelling to California during the Gold Rush Era through 1902". Location: Alliance Française de San Diego. The French Club will sponsor students who wish to attend. Transportation provided. For more information, email us.

Sunday April 25th, 11 am - 12:30 pm . SLP. French club mixer. Come and meet francophone students. Very informal!
