Scholarly and Creative Work
Don’s research has focused on quality online Spanish instruction. She is published in this field and has given presentations on this topic in both the United States and Spain. She is also very interested in the appropriate use of Powerpoint in the foreign language classroom and has presented these ideas at scholarly conferences as well. She plans to develop a series of interactive Powerpoint presentations appropriate for use in Spanish foreign language instruction.
Teaching Interests
Don enjoys teaching all levels of Spanish and has a passion for teaching literature from Spain and Latin America. All of her courses are designed to create a comfortable learning environment where her students feel comfortable to ask questions, take risks and practice their foreign language and critical thinking skills. She also enjoys taking students on summer study trips to Spain.
