| Message | ![]() Hosted by the German Club Brigitte Heimers, PhD, leads her annual discussion of one of The San Diego Opera's productions. "Charles Gounod's Faust" is the story of a man who sells his soul to the devil for all the pleasure the world has to offer. Magically restored to youth and vigor, he turns his attentions to the beautiful and pure Marguerite. While it is clear from the outset how Faust will end up, we are left in suspense about the fate of Marguerite. Musical excerpts will be played. |
