| Message | ![]() Traditionally trained as a poet, with an MFA in creative writing from San Diego State University, David Tomás Martínez claims among his friends professors and pimps and aspires to amalgamate the beauty of his inner city knowledge with the concrete lessons of the academy. He is a volunteer and contributor to The Voz Alta Project in historic Barrio Logan. He has had second stage consideration for The Ruth Lilly Award and Best New Poets of 2009. This year's publishing credits include San Diego Writer's Ink Vol. 3, Poetry International, Border Voices, and other publications.
