Countdown Begins for Dalai Lama's Visit


San Diego Union Tribune -- The Dalai Lama’s San Diego visit is almost three months away, but he’s already breaking barriers. 

“He’s Buddhist, not Catholic,” noted the Rev. Ron Pachence, chairman of the University of San Diego’s department of theology and religious studies. “But as a Catholic, I’m really happy to hear him talk about these things.”

“These things” — global warming, peace and justice, and ethics and compassion — are the subjects of three talks the Dalai Lama plans to deliver April 18-19 at the University of California San Diego, San Diego State University and USD. (Full Story)
