Title	"An Experiment with an Air Pump" Debuts Nov. 19
Message	"An Experiment with an Air Pump" by Shelagh Stephenson, directed by Liz Shipman. Presented by Theatre Arts, Nov. 19-24, Black Box Theatre (Camino Hall, room 131). A northern English house over the turns of two centuries evokes a world of scientific chaos, furtive romance and genetic engineering revealing a dark secret buried for 200 years. This play addresses such provocative concerns as the state of medical ethics, passion vs. love, the evolving role of women, the aims of science at the dawning of eras 200 years apart: one century heralding the birth of the Industrial Age, the other the age of biotechnology.
